89 | Decanter "From a complex terroir of small plots of vines aged between 28 and 55 years, with northwest exposure and surrounded by mixed scrubland of pine trees, wild thyme and rosemary; a typically Minervois blend of equal proportions of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Cinsault, aged 50% in barrel for 12 months. The Syrah stands out clearly here, with marked spice and black pepper, and baked black fruits on the nose. Generous on the palate, it's open and jolly, showing plenty of blackcurrant and plum with soft tannins throughout, though the acidic structure will keep it maturing and evolving nicely for some years yet.
